Driving Lesson Prices

No sign-up fees, no admin charges, no “first lesson at a special rate” upsells. The price on the board is what you pay. Prefer shorter sessions? We also run one-hour (£38) and 90-minute (£55) lessons — though one-hour slots have very limited availability.

Two hours is what most learners book: at £35 per hour it’s our lowest hourly rate, and it gives you time to reach quieter roads, practise properly and still cover a full debrief.

§ 04a · Why two hours?

Two-hour lessons are the best value — and the fastest way to a pass.

At £70 a two-hour lesson works out at just £35 per hour — £3 an hour cheaper than a one-hour lesson, and cheaper than 90 minutes too. That saving alone makes it the obvious choice, but price isn’t the only reason it’s what most learners book.

It saves you money every lesson

One-hour lessons work out at £38 per hour and 90-minute lessons at about £36.70 — a two-hour lesson is just £35 per hour. That's £3 an hour less than a one-hour lesson, so every two-hour booking saves you £6 straight away.

You learn quicker and pass sooner

Skills need time to settle. In two hours you're past the warm-up before you know it, building on what clicked last lesson instead of re-learning it. Steady, longer sessions mean fewer lessons overall — and reaching test standard in less time.

Less time travelling, more time driving

Getting to the right practice roads — around Bury, Chadderton, Cheetham Hill or Rochdale — takes driving time. In a short lesson a big slice of the hour disappears on pickup and travel; with two hours we're already on the good roads with time to actually practise on them.

Room for the real test stuff

Manoeuvres, multi-lane roundabouts, box junctions and dual carriageways don't fit into 60 minutes. Two hours leaves room for the hard parts of driving, plus a proper debrief at the end so you know exactly what to work on next.

The saving, in plain numbers
£380
10 hours as five 1-hour lessons
£350
10 hours as five 2-hour lessons
£330
10-hour block (five 2-hour lessons)

Same ten hours of driving — £50 saved simply by taking them two hours at a time and paying upfront. Even pay as you go, ten hours as two-hour lessons costs £350 instead of £380 — £30 back in your pocket.
