How your lessons will work.
The five steps from your first phone call to passing your practical test with a DVSA-approved manual driving instructor in Greater Manchester.
- 01
Get your provisional licence
Apply for your provisional UK driving licence from the age of 17 (or 15 years and 9 months to apply). You only need the licence itself for your first lesson — we supply the dual-controlled manual car.
- 02
Call or send a booking request
Call 07846 847659 or 07960 077053 between 7am and 10pm, or fill in the booking form. We confirm your area, your availability and the slot for your first two-hour lesson.
- 03
Take your first two-hour lesson
Your instructor picks you up from home, work or college. The first lesson covers the cockpit drill, controls, clutch control, moving off and stopping on quiet residential roads.
- 04
Build up skills and pass your theory test
Weekly two-hour lessons progress through junctions, roundabouts, manoeuvres, dual carriageways and independent driving, while you revise multiple-choice questions and hazard perception for the theory test.
- 05
Sit a mock test, then the practical test
Once you are driving consistently, you sit a two-hour mock test on real DVSA routes marked on a DL25 sheet. When you are test ready we help book the practical test and you can use our car on the day.
